Brian Babb, an 11½ year old from Issaquah, WA, has been touched by ovarian cancer. One of his friends, Tyler White, lost his mother, Lori, to ovarian cancer after a seven-year battle. Brian wanted to help find a cure for ovarian cancer and began his own personal fundraising campaign.

With the help of Brian's mother Judy, Brian sold cookies, along with lemonade in the summer and hot cocoa in the fall. Through his efforts he raised over $100, which he saved in his "football-bank."

Brian recently came to the Marsha Rivkin Center to donate his money for ovarian cancer research. As Brian was leaving he said, "I hope you find a cure for ovarian cancer." Tami Dargey, Executive Director of the Rivkin Center thanked Brian for his efforts, calling him a great role model for others. Dargey says, "With Brian's help and the help of many others, we hope to do just that, cure ovarian cancer."
