For the first time, the Marsha Rivkin Center for Ovarian Cancer Research, Swedish Medical Center, and the American Association for Cancer Research are partnering together to convene a scientific meeting focused exclusively on ovarian cancer. All three organizations have strong histories of nurturing cancer research and celebrating advances in the understanding, prevention, detection, and treatment of the multiple diseases that are collectively called ovarian cancer. This new partnership will create new synergies and build community in support of ovarian cancer research.
The 10th Biennial Ovarian Cancer Research Symposium is the longest running scientific meeting in the U.S. focused exclusively on ovarian cancer, established by Dr. Saul E. Rivkin, MD in 1994 following the passing of his first wife Marsha from ovarian cancer. This year we celebrate 20 years of the ovarian cancer research community coming together and applaud Dr. Rivkin's foresight and passion in convening such a meeting to foster the exchange of ideas and inter-institutional collaborations.
