The sock pattern was designed by "Chappy," in honor of a Skacel family member, who is a three year survivor of ovarian cancer. A special Teal color of Trekking XXO was dyed (teal is the official color designated to ovarian cancer) by Zitron, and every design aspects of this sock, from the cuff to the toe, is a reminder that ovarian cancer can be beaten if we, as women, unite. Kits include the pattern, 1 skein of the specially dyed Trekking, beads, and a card from the Marsha Rivkin Center outlining the signs and symptoms of ovarian cancer. Please purchase your kits by going to Yarn.com or jimmybeanswool.com.
