Request for Applications in Ovarian Cancer Research
Release date: September 4, 2007
As you may know, one of the primary functions of the Marsha Rivkin Center is to fund innovative pilot studies and scientists showing great potential for ovarian cancer research. We are pleased to announce $210,000 available to fund approximately 7 awards to be allocated based on merit between our Pilot Study and Scientific Scholar Award Programs. Our Pilot Study Program (PDF) will support investigator initiated pilot projects in the areas of screening and prevention, basic science, treatment, and behavioral sciences. Our Scientific Scholar Award (PDF) is intended to assist promising young laboratory and clinical scientists to pursue a career in ovarian cancer research. By funding innovative pilot studies in ovarian cancer research and encouraging the best and brightest minds to pursue a career in ovarian cancer research, it is our vision that we will ultimately improve detection, treatment and prevention. We would appreciate it if you would share the enclosed Request for Applications with individuals at your institution who may be interested. On behalf of our mothers, sisters and daughters, thank you for the important work you do each and every day. The deadline for submitting applications is December 3, 2007. More information is available by contacting the Marsha Rivkin Center at (206) 215-6200. |
