Revella Bensussen

Revella Bensussen was diagnosed with Stage IV ovarian cancer in November of 1999. While her fight against the disease was short lived, her courage and fortitude during her battle were fierce.

Dr. Rivkin was instrumental in helping her through her difficult treatment which finally took her life January 13, 2000. He helped keep her and our family feeling positive and inspired during a very difficult time.

She was a gracious and caring person to all that knew her. Revella was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, family member and friend. Her love of life will forever be remembered by those who knew her best. Her selfless nature was welcoming to everyone and she provided insight and guidance to so many.

In her memory, the entire Bensussen Family will continue to work with the Rivkin Center for Ovarian Cancer Research so that someday we can find a cure for this disease.

In addition, Bensussen Deutsch & Associates (BDA) has an annual fund aising event called Spring Fling in which all employees across the country participate. Creative events are held for a two week period every year with all of the proceeds being donated to the Rivkin Center. Over the last 10 years of this event, BDA has raised over $500,000 for the Center; and for the last four years, BDA has been the presenting sponsor of the Swedish SummeRun.

We are all grateful for the work the Center does and appreciate being a part of their exciting new research efforts.
